Canada Life Interactive Memory Tour

An innovative memory sharing program facilitated through interactive field trips, storytelling and group discussion. Modern tools and technology (i.e. iPads and apps) will be incorporated into the program to enhance the experience and encourage social engagement. An intergenerational theme is achieved by the inclusion of student volunteers in the program. This program is for people with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.

Day trips are scheduled four times per year. These day trips will feature visits to locations in the community and region and will generate interactions and activity to stimulate memories and discussions. Transportation is provided (originating at the Alzheimer Society office)

PLEASE NOTE: Social Recreation Programs are offered to our clients in the early to middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. For the safety and enjoyment of all, clients must undergo a brief assessment prior to participation.
