A ‘Moment of Innovation’ is a creative approach to dementia care that achieves an enhanced quality of life for people living with dementia through new care approaches, strategies or techniques.

We want to hear from you. If you have an innovative idea that has helped you provide care, submit your video with an elevator pitch of your innovation for a chance to win! The format is simple:

How do I enter?

Structure your video to answer the following questions: What was the challenge? How did you respond to the challenge? What was the result? You can provide a visual example of your innovation or just explain it on camera. Get someone to film you on your phone (shoot with your phone in landscape orientation please) and upload it to Facebook with the hashtag #MomentsOfInnovation.

Once your video is uploaded, submit it via the form above to officially enter.

How long should my video be?

Videos should be anywhere between 1:00 – 1:30 minutes. Videos over 1:30 in length will not be considered.

Does my video need to be shot on a professional camera?

The higher quality the better, but for this contest we want you to express your innovation as easily as possible. Get a friend or coworker to shoot your video on your phone!

Where do I upload my video?

Upload your video to Facebook and use the hashtag #MomentsOfInnovation, then submit it to us via the form above! NOTE: Make sure the video is set to public so we can see it.

I don't have a Facebook account - can I still enter?

If you do not have a Facebook account but would like to enter your video, you can submit your entry via the form above or email it to abrown@alzheimerlondon.ca for consideration.
